Dear Iva,

I attended the LA Diversity Mixer at the Kress in February, in hopes of meeting recruiters who would help me find an accounting position that matched my qualifications. I met a number of recruiters from different companies, but luckily one of the last ones I met was Eva Chiu, from Ajilon. At the mixer, we discussed a variety of things, including the kinds of positions I was looking for and possible locations I would be willing to commute to. After our meeting, we followed up with each other via e-mail, and I was surprised when less than two weeks later, Eva contacted me regarding a position with a company that matched everything we had discussed at the mixer. I interviewed with the company the next day and found out a couple of hours after the meeting that I had gotten the job. I have not had this kind of an experience before and I thank the Riordan Programs Alumni Association for hosting the event that led to the end of my job search. I am about to complete my first week on the job and still can't believe how great of a fit the company and the position are. I am truly thankful and hope that others may have a similar experience to mine.
